Privacy Policy

In short: nothing leaves your Mac.

The short version
  • FavSlots has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no servers. It has no network access at all.
  • It never sees what you type. To show its overlay, it notices only which modifier keys (⌥ ⇧ ⌃ ⌘) are held down.
  • It asks for no permissions: no Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Screen Recording or anything else.
  • It doesn’t record which apps you use or when. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

Who we are

FavSlots is a Mac app made by Mahtca Global (“we”). This policy covers the FavSlots app and this website. Questions: favslots@mahtca.com.

What we collect

Nothing. FavSlots has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no servers. It doesn’t send any information to us or to anyone else. The app has no network entitlement, so macOS doesn’t let it connect to the internet.

What stays on your Mac

To work, FavSlots keeps a small amount of information on your Mac, inside its own sandboxed storage:

  • the apps you assign to your nine slots;
  • your preferences (shortcut, overlay size, appearance);
  • a small picture of each favorite app’s icon, so it can still be shown if the app is removed. It is deleted as soon as the app stops being a favorite.

This information never leaves your Mac. Deleting FavSlots deletes it.

What FavSlots does not access

FavSlots never sees what you type. Only the nine shortcuts you assigned reach it. To show its overlay while you hold the shortcut key, it notices only which modifier keys are held down, never letters, numbers or other keys. It doesn’t access your files, clipboard, contacts, browsing history or screen contents, and it doesn’t record which apps you use or when.

The list of installed apps is read on your Mac only while you’re choosing a favorite. It isn’t stored or sent anywhere.

Permissions

FavSlots requests none: no Accessibility, Input Monitoring, Screen Recording, Automation, Full Disk Access or Contacts.

Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We don’t receive your name, email address or payment details. FavSlots asks Apple, on your Mac, whether this Apple Account has unlocked the app. See Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Children

FavSlots collects no information from anyone, including children.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. Like any website, its server may briefly keep standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to deliver pages and keep them secure. The Mac App Store badge is loaded from Apple’s servers. If you dismiss the language suggestion, your browser remembers that choice locally.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date.
